We entered 4 Championship Shows and an Open show over the Queens Birthday weekend.
Koda came home for the weekend and we really want to have him out and about as much as we can while he's still young and socialising so he's thoroughly used to being in the ring with other dogs. So it was great to see a few entries for the weekend.
Summer decided just 2 weeks ago that she didn't need her coat anymore and i was hoping she'd still look respectable on the weekend as she's shedding coat thick and fast at the moment.
It seemed her new streamlined self caught the judges eye as she did incredibly well over the weekend, taking 3 out of the 4 Bitch Challenges and a tidy 31 points. She converted 2 of them to Runner Up Best of Breed, earning herself a pretty ribbon at the Spitz Show, sponsored by the FLCV.
Koda also had a good weekend. He was handled by several new people and is getting the hang of standing still, though gaiting and being examined is still a bit of a work in progress, with him getting better as the weekend went on.
Aslak also did nicely, scoring two Reserve Dog Challenges. No points, unfortunately, but he gave a good account of himself and didn't put a foot wrong all weekend.
The dogs were all on their best behaviour and did everything asked of them so I couldn't be prouder.
Of course, the usual 'Nuggies' were purchased on the way home. Koda is a bit of a fan of this tradition and enthusiastically joined in on dinner celebrations
