Summer Shenanigans March 2023

in Mid March I tried to take Summer on an adventure. She didn't even make it out of the car.
She got excited when we pulled up at Bunnings. Her foot slid between the centre console and passenger seat and she managed to catch her foot between the plastic and the carpet at the bottom edge of the console. She was screaming so I grabbed her and pushed her foot. Her foot was bleeding like crazy so i called my vet 5mins away and drove. She was in so much pain, poor girl. Must've got her toe right at the wrong spot because she's ripped off her toenail. They gave her methadone for the pain so they could assess, clean and bandage her foot

I took Summer to Bunnings after the vet visit. She was high as a kite but still wanted those pats and I knew she would know she missed out.  I grabbed Nuggs on the way home. She was still heavily influenced by methadone at this time. It wore off a few hours later. She was moving around ok, surprisingly, and had a bootie for going outside but she was not keen to walk far. She was shifting and moving around a bit trying to get comfortable and largely resting which was never a strong suit of hers and it didn't take long for her to get her bandage off and knock her toe. I had the vets rewrap it to buy a couple of extra days.
Just days later, she was in my neighbours dam. Swimming! and traipsing around getting filthy. She was exhausted the following day and finally managed to take it easy.
I love her but she's a challenge. People wonder where Anarchy gets it from....it's from her mother.

Later, I found Summers nail!. 🤢
