Update: March 2025 : Muffin is looking for her forever family.
Originally I had an overseas home wanting this puppy but due to changes in the quarantine laws requiring her to stay here for an additional 6 months and the added expenses involved in raising and flying an older dog, they were forced to back out.
So little Muffin is now interviewing for her own forever family. She's a really sweet girl. She likes to start her morning off with head and tummy rubs and cuddles before she inhales some breakfast and then has a play. She's still a baby so needs lots of naps and only has little legs to get her to the toilet though she's exceptionally good at trying her best to get outside to the toilet.
She's here with 3 adult dogs and navigates them as best she can, wanting to be friends with everyone and following them around, getting distracted and loving on her Mum, Aunt and Grandma.
She's been on so many adventures already in her short life to prepare her for everything and my neighbours children have come over to play with her several times. They pick her up and carry her awkwardly and she just goes with it. I'm so proud of how well this whole litter is going with confidence and curiosity about the world around them.
Muffin has had a busy socialisation start, helping her learn how to be a dog. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff but some of the highlights:
- visited Kmart
- visited Pet Stock
- visited Bunnings
- visited a nursing home.
- 3 vet visits for microchip, vaccination and eye exams. (She's completely healthy)
- A big drive to the airport to drop off her sister, Lolly.
- Stopped at a friend's after the airport drop off for a drink and to stretch our legs in a new yard with new people and dogs.
- A visit to the post office and cafe where she met people and dogs.
- Met sheep, alpacas, cows and horses
- Went for walks (on lead) in new places.
- Another Trip to Pet Stock, Bunnings
- Another Cafe
- A park
- A big fountain she wasn't sure of even though she paddles in the water bowl and chases the sprinkler and hose water when it's hot
- met more kids outside some shops
- met her Lappie cousins
- met 2 cream veteran Lapphunds on separate outings.
- hung out with a guy climbing on the roof using power tools
- hung out near some guys building a shed with one of those beeping scissor ladder lifts.
- watched a mini digger working.
- slept through the ride-on mower cutting the grass outside the puppy pen setup
- inspected an Open Home.
- visited a new house with lots of people.
- met another veteran Lapphund.
- met some Aussie Shepherd puppies.
- annoyed her grandma
- tried lots of new foods.
- got a bath and more grooming including nails again.
- met the neighbours kids and ran around in the backyard with them.
If you're interested in continuing her life experiences please get in touch. We'd like to find her forever home as soon as possible to get her settled in as soon as possible.
